Under the proposed new law, the identification of Dogs Regulations 2013, you will be required to :

• have your dog microchipped.
• ensure your details and contact information are always up to date.

September is national microchipping awareness month.  There are tens of thousands of incorrectly registered chips in Ireland. These chips will NOT get their animals reunited with their owners if they are lost. If you are unsure contact the clinic for a form you can send in to check the details attached to your pets chip. It only takes a couple of minutes. Isnt it worth it to make sure your pet will be returned to you if lost!

If your pet is not microchipped, we can also arrange this at The Animal hospital for a very good price. This is by appointment only and can be done at any age on dogs and cats.
